J. Ben FuquaAssociate / Vice President
Ben Fuqua manages the eastern division offices of AAI. His responsibilities include client management, specification development, and delivery of customer-focused decision support solutions. Mr. Fuqua has over 18 years of experience in simulation and modeling analysis, working with over 100 client companies. His project experience spans a wide range of services, including: strategic supply chain planning, budget management, sales and marketing planning & execution, problem definition & specification, solutions architecture, data collection, solution development and configuration, testing, analysis, and training course development and delivery.
Mr. Fuqua's client industry focus includes transportation and consumer goods manufacturing and distribution. Examples include:
Mr. Fuqua holds both Master's and Bachelor's of Science degrees in Industrial Engineering from the University of Tennessee. His professional affiliations include the Institute of Industrial Engineers and the Council of Logistics Management.
Prior to joining Automation Associates, Inc., Mr. Fuqua has held positions with several simulation and scheduling product related companies. Mr. Fuqua was the founder and president of J. B. Fuqua & Associates, an independent simulation and scheduling firm, which was merged with AAI in 1999. Prior to founding this company, he was employed by Systems Modeling Corporation (now part of Rockwell Software), a simulation and scheduling system software development company in Pittsburgh, PA. With Systems Modeling, he worked first as a consultant, and then as the manager of the Consulting Services Team. Prior to joining Systems Modeling Inc., Mr. Fuqua was employed as a Systems Engineer with Martin Marietta Energy Systems. Responsibilities in these positions include participation in: strategic planning activities, budget management, sales strategy development & execution, marketing planning & execution, project management, solution development and testing, implementation, and training system development and delivery.
