Beth Kulick is a native of California, and attended undergraduate studies at Purdue University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. She then completed graduate studies at Texas A&M University, where she received a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering / Simulation, studying with Dr. Robert Shannon - one of the most widely read and respected professors in simulation and operations research.

Ms. Kulick was one of the very first employees at Automation Associates Inc. (AAI), joining the company in 1986, and has been instrumental in helping define the core direction, values, and early client successes in several industries. She has held a variety of roles during her 19 years with the company, and is currently a Senior Consultant and the Chief Creative Officer. In this position she is responsible for working with clients in new industry segments to determine how to best apply simulation and other decision support technologies, and for researching and creating simulation based analysis tools for clients in a variety of industries, including transportation and restaurant service/operations. She was responsible for designing and engineering AAI's Restaurant Modeling Studio (RMS ) - an integrated simulation-based software product that allows staff industrial engineers at large franchise restaurants to analyze a wide variety of proposed changes and their impact on restaurant operations, including new equipment, staffing, scheduling, and menu items. Several of the largest franchise quick service restaurant firms in the world currently use RMS to analyze and manage changes to their restaurant design and operations. Also, she was responsible for the development of Transportation Modeling Studio (TMS ), a simulation-based solution that provides the framework for making planning and operating decisions for transportation infrastructure applications-on a terminal basis as well as for inter-facility network system designs. This is a key technology used for port, terminal operations, and intermodal traffic planning.

Prior to joining AAI she was a systems engineer at Litton Corporation, Industrial Automation Systems, where she gained extensive experience in the design and implementation of many of the automated manufacturing and distribution systems and equipment for consumer goods, aircraft, and semiconductor industries. Beth Kulick is recognized and considered one of the more experienced leaders in the simulation industry. Beth is frequent speaker and panelist for industry conferences including the Winter Simulation Conference and IIE Conference.
